Do you need someone to walk alongside you to help unpack and support you through life’s challenges? Do you have ideas about what needs to happen, but feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or stuck when it comes to translating them into action? Are you looking for support that blends counselling, lived experience mentoring, and practical assistance? Then sessions with Rach might be for you.
Rach combines their clinical social work knowledge with lived experience wisdom to offer authentic, compassionate, and collaborative support. Guided by both therapeutic and peer frameworks, Rach integrates evidence-based techniques with real-life insights, helping you find clarity and direction so you feel confident and empowered to take next steps at your own pace.
Rach draws on therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and the Power Threat Meaning Framework (PTMF). Their approach is person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, neurodivergent-friendly, and queer-affirming.
Rach ensures that support is also grounded in validation, curiosity, vulnerability, and connection. They strive to foster mutual relationships that prioritise learning and growing together. Rach recognises the importance of sitting with discomfort and exploring the unknown. They focus on building the trust and safety required to unpack, understand, and simultaneously hold differing worldviews. Rach also acknowledges that risk assessments can be unhelpful and harmful, so they adopt shared decision-making practices instead, and commit to continuously questioning and challenging the way things are done. Rach supports people to work through fear, trauma, pain, and suffering, and move towards hope and new possibilities.

Sessions can be provided on a once-off basis as needed, allowing for access to timely stand-alone appointments without ongoing commitment. Alternatively, Rach also offers multiple sessions across the short and long term. This can be a great option for people who prefer the consistency required to explore things deeply, where support can be provided for as long as it continues to feel helpful and meaningful.
All sessions run for an hour and a half. This allows for adequate time to drop into the space, connect with one another, properly explore topics, discuss next steps, and ensure you leave feeling contained and grounded.
Sessions are available Australia-wide via Zoom. You can choose to have your camera off or on, you are welcome to use the microphone to speak, or you can communicate via the chat function instead. If you live in Melbourne, in-person sessions can also be arranged.
Together with Rach, you’ll identify the topics you want to work on, and decide on an individualised approach that feels most relevant and comfortable. Rach will provide guidance, accountability, and gentle encouragement every step of the way.
